Experience a fresh twist on a classic with Mingle's NEW Chow Mein spice, perfect for crispy rice lettuce cups. Enjoy the authentic flavours of your childhood in a modern, light, and all-natural bite-sized delight.
Heat 2 tbsp sesame oil in a pan. Brown protein for approx 5 mins.
Add veg and cook for 2 mins. Add Mingle’s recipe base & stock. Stir and allow to cook for 5-10 mins.
Toss the rice in a bowl with the sesame oil and 10g of chow mein sachet. If it’s not sticking together when you squeeze it, add the cornstarch and get your hands wet to mix it again. Squeeze it into loose, squishy chunks and transfer to the air fryer in a single layer. Air fry at 400 for 7-9 minutes, until golden and crisped
Build lettuce cups by filling with Chow Mein mince and topping with crispy rice & enjoy :)
